Mersey Moot Photos

Saturday nice and clean about to go out in the first round again. However hard (or not so hard) that we practice, we always seem to go out in the first round. I do seem to remember wining the Volleyball in 1996?

Still Saturday and still clean! The bouncy stuff comes every year, There are also Crafts, clay pigeon shooting, archery, Air rifle, Caneoing, and some sort of display by one of the armed Forces on every year.

Don't worry all you mums it is about to get mucky - get those washing machines started up

Sunday - on the right is part of the super mooter course - basically a fiendish mud bath.

If you look at the bottom you will see water - not good the weekend was dry!

This obstacle is the start, soon after this is a tunnel filled with mud (sorry no photos - anyone at the end of the tunnel gets pelted with mud by the competitors at this point.)

All the water for the event gets pumped from the 'pond' behind, using what looks like Fireman's water pumps!

The pumps also power the showers

After the super mooter, and a power shower -

note the less than white t shirt second on the right!

It is customary at this stage to start with the early signs of Hypothermia.

Fortunately there are St John ampulance service teams on hand all weekend!!
